The Future of Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and Mixed Reality for the AEC Industry This presentation covers the future of virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) and mixed reality (MR) in the context of the demands of the AEC industry. The talk beings with a short general history of where we are today and then examines, through case studies, the current state of affairs of the industry. Because we are so early in this technology cycle, hardware, software and content providers are still trying to establish dominant platforms and these case studies help explain the limitations of each technology. Finally, a look into the future establishes how we see the VR AR MR industry evolving, trends and enterprise business that we think are best aligned to take advantage of immersive experiences. In addition to the presentation, demonstration of the relevant technology will be able to be experienced first hand.
