National Resources:

About Us

In 1948, The Construction Specifications Institute was founded to address the need for common systems of presenting and organizing construction documents.

The Puget Sound Chapter of CSI, established in 1958, has active members from Bellingham to Tacoma, and consists of architects, product and manufacturer representatives, design professionals, specifiers, engineers, contractors, and other representatives from all disciplines of the construction industry.

The chapter is governed by a set of bylaws approved by the chapter membership. The Operations Guide, adopted and updated by the board of directors, is the chapter's policy manual and provides guidance for board and committees operation.

The chapter maintains a very busy Timeline that lists the activities of the board and committees throughout the year.

Board of Directors

The Chapter is governed by a 10 person Board of Directors, which is elected annually and serves July through June. Click here for minutes of recent board meetings.

Committees

The Chapter is served by several committees. These committees are the lifeblood of the organization, responsible for much of its operation. Committee chairs report activities to the Board of Directors via the Monthly Status Report. Click here to open a blank status report form in PDF format.
